Company 1
Company 1 is a leading provider of on-line financial content and planning solutions. The company's multiple product lines serve institutional financial advisors, independent financial planning professionals, and financial websites.
Status of Company 1 when Monadnock was engaged:
Company 1 came to Monadnock with a management team, strong knowledge of the financial advisor space and a strong information product that they planned to sell directly to financial advisors in CD format. They had $2 million in financing (1/3 from one of the founders) and zero customers.
Monadnock Results:
Monadnock redesigned Company 1's distribution model to be exclusively web-based and then changed the customer target to the financial consumer (the financial advisor's customer.) As Company 2 was also faced with the new challenge of running a software company, Monadnock helped Company 1 design a wide variety of functions: software development, formation of product teams, recruiting technical personnel, engagements with outside vendors, proper enterprise delivery and realistic software development schedules. With the ultimate change from a direct distribution model to a reseller one, Monadnock had to design a business plan, investor presentations, and complete financials. Within 12 months, Monadnock had helped secure over $8.5 million, including $6.25mm from a venture capital firm.
Company 1 Today:
Today Company 1 has over 40 customers and yearly revenues in seven figures. The company recently re-engaged Monadnock to assist in securing additional funding.

Company 2 provides a conversion marketing solution that helps companies meet the challenges of Web-Site traffic generation and control. The integrated software and service solution enables users to drive traffic to their site, determine who has access to what areas of the site, maximize on-line visibility, and analyze results.
Status of Company 2 when Monadnock was engaged:
When Company 2 came to Monadnock in early 1999 there was no company, just one man with an idea to sell, deliver, and expand distribution of Company 2 in the United States. Company 2, a product of a UK based company established in 1994, was a leading provider of Web marketing services with a staff of approximately 60 people at its London headquarters.
Monadnock Results:
Monadnock designed Company 2's business from ground zero, helping to recruit the Company 2 management team, developing license strategies, defining the US target vertical markets and creating unique US distribution, marketing and positioning strategies. Within 8 months, Monadnock had raised $6 million in venture capital.
Company 2 Today:
Company 2 began generating revenues in FY 1999, did well over $1 million in FY 2000 and expects revenues to double in FY 2001. The company recently re-engaged Monadnock to assist them in securing additional funding.

Company 3
Company 3 offers businesses a flexible, scalable and reliable communications service for the distribution of time-sensitive and business-critical information. The company's core service is a hosted, Web-based, one-to-many communications service providing instant, personalized and simultaneous outbound messaging.
Status of Company 3 when Monadnock was engaged:
The company was scheduled to present at a Red Herring Venture Market conference and hired Monadnock a week before the event. The conference was critical because they had no customers and needed to find additional funding to launch their product.
Monadnock Results:
Monadnock convinced the company to drop their initial strategy--to form a consumer-based community of users--in favor of marketing to corporations via a distributor network. In less than a week, we were able to retool both their marketing strategy and their conference presentation. And in the following weeks we worked closely with them on the details of implementing the strategy--from developing a tag line to identifying potential strategic partners. Our complete project was done in less than three months. As a result of our work, the company was able to raise $12 million from a leading local firm and sign AT&T as its first distribution partner. More importantly, they're now on a clear path to profitability.
Company 3 Today:
They're now the leading provider of communications services for simultaneous distribution of time-sensitive and business-critical information and recently raised an additional $8 million in 2001.
