Rick brings eighteen years of organizational leadership and strategy experience to Monadnock's clients. He has been CEO or senior executive at 7 startups and has worked across a broad range of industries, including software, entertainment, new media, biotech, and basic manufacturing. Rick's many skills include market strategy, technology assessment, communication, project organization and management.
Rick began his career at AT&T Bell Laboratories as a member of technical staff where he helped launch internal ventures. He then spent several years at software startups in the Boston area before joining McKinsey & Company as a management consultant. Subsequently, he has been called in to help turn-around technology companies in transition. Rick has been CEO of Student.Com, Inc. (new media), Merlin Technologies (early stage biotech), NewSphere (knowledge management software), and Banton Precision Wood Products (consumer products manufacturer). He has also served as COO at ChannelHealth.Com (healthcare information and services). Most recently, Rick was the Chief Executive Officer of TVGrid (technology for the entertainment industry). Rick received a JD-MBA from Harvard Business and Law Schools and is a graduate of Harvard College.
